Communicate either with plain text or voice/ video + text chat (if you have a PC camera). Share your a desktop application with another party. Let others see you ideas and sketch it a virtual white board that works like a drawing program. In this workshop, consider the possibilities of using the MSN Messenger: 1. as an e-Consultation tool for remote consultation between the teaching staff and student 2. as a tool for teachers to assist students or fellow colleagues in a remote manner. 3. an an e-collaborative tool to discuss joint projects 4. to hold informal meetings virtually
Objectives: 1. State the definition of Microsoft Messenger 2. Identify the sections of the MSN Messenger interface 3. Add a contact to the contact list 4. Send an instant message to a desired party 5. Send a file or a photograph to a desired party 6. Perform a voice conversation to a desired party 7. Perform a video conversation with a desired party 8. Send and receive email 9. Use the whiteboard to communicate and collaborate ideas 10. Use remote assist to assist others with their PC remotely 11. Use application sharing to assist others with their software application
